On February 13, the Benton Middle Student Government sponsored an in-school dance to raise money for the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge, which will be held on February 20 at Kentucky Dam Village State Park. The students raised $209.85 for this great cause. One of the main highlights of the dance was when students were given the opportunity to purchase a ticket to put a pie in the faces of BMS teachers and Principal Kem Cothran. The teachers volunteered on behalf of the cause and for the enjoyment of the student body.
